In 2001 my husband of 3 years had a devastating heart attack that left him with only 10% use of his heart.  The hospital sent him home on 13 medications.  The months following the attack were so sad.  I was so scared.  Getting out of bed for him was so challenging and taking a shower would wear him out for two days.

As a result of his lack of movement, my husband developed extreme sciatica which kept him awake nights.  He could no longer walk without use of a cane.  His neurologist recommended cortisone shots or surgery.  In my mind, surgery would probably kill him and cortisone was not reliable; I was desperate just to alleviate his suffering.

Then one afternoon, I heard Dr. McGowan on his radio show, “Secrets to Living Healthy”.  He talked about a condition called “Subluxation” and how it interferes with healing.   So I called my husband and we set up an appointment for the checkup.

When Dr. Mark reviewed the x-rays with us, I could hardly believe my eyes.  Not only did my husband have problems in his lower back, but he had such severe subluxation in his neck.  The spinal bones were putting pressure on the nerves to HIS HEART!

We immediately started him on the program of adjustments.  Within two weeks, my husband could walk without a cane and he was getting up on his own, able to shower and dress DAILY!!!!  Within 3 months, his energy had improved so much that he was doing chores and errands.  He also began to come off his medication.  At his 6 month check up, his primary care doctor could not believe his improvement:  normal blood pressure, normal cholesterol levels and his heart efficiency had gone up to 40-50%.  And…he was no longer taking any medication!

According to the research I did most people in husband’s condition die within 5 years of diagnosis…

I am overwhelmed with gratitude that it is now 2010 and my husband is getting happier and healthier every day.  This check up really SAVES lives.  I know it.  My husband knows it.  If you haven’t been checked,  just do it!  If you know someone who is suffering, tell them.  You may be the only chance they have to stay alive.
